Bush’s approval ratings have hit 36%, lower than Nixon’s at the height of the Watergate scandal.
I’d like to believe that people are finally turning on Bush because his administration deliberately misled the public into supporting a war that has claimed 1,868 US soldier’s lives, wounded 13,877 US soldiers and led to the death of 23,589 Iraqi civilians — all for the purpose of creating a breeding ground for terrorists and a democracy that will probably fail like so many others. But something tells me that Bush’s abysmal approval rating probably has a lot more to do with the irrational idea that he is responsible for gasoline approaching $3 a gallon.
Oh wait, he is partly responsible for rising oil prices.
